Our Story

Textile Artist Kathy Barlow, block printing during a tour of the Jaipur, India area.

Known for her eye-catching collections of patterns rooted in hand printing and stitching, textile artist and designer Kathy Barlow brings you her newest line of fabrics and accessories for your personal expression.

A popular textile arts instructor, Kathy's predominant mediums are block printing — which she perfected in India — and hand needlework that she has done all her life. Kathy often travels to experience traditional artisan methods, then adds her own contemporary sensibility to create compelling tutorials and workshops.

Kathy ran a popular interior design blog and produced memorable events within the design community, and she is excited to once again share her projects and write about creative endeavors.

Kathy and her husband have two vibrant kids — a teenage son that is an accomplished illustrator and trombonist, and a creative, preschool-teaching daughter who while far from home, keeps everyone smiling with frequent videos of the grandbaby.  Kathy is an avid hiker and lap swimmer that enjoys the energy of the San Francisco Bay Area and the serenity of Lake Tahoe.
